The
Lens Handler™ integrates the cleaning, painting and installation of
optical elements into one bench top station. By securing the optical
component via vacuum and evenly rotating it, the Lens Handler™
minimizes user handling and introduces consistency in preparing optics
for assembly. It delivers increased productivity in coating, assembly
and QA processes.
- Integrates multiple
processes into one location
- Minimizes rejection
rates
- Enables hands free
cleaning, inspecting and painting
- Reduces processing time
- Simplifies training and
cross-training
- Improves operator
productivity via a variable speed spindle
- Is cleanroom compatible
and maintenance free
The
Lens Handler™ features a vacuum wand for transferring optical elements
to the rotational spindle and to housing assembly without exposing
surfaces to fingerprints, scratching, chipping, or accidental dropping.
Variable spindle speeds
from
40-200 rpm allow users to control rotation of optical elements for
cleaning, blackening and beveling edges, or other optical preparation
techniques.
A wide range of
solid Delirn® vacuum cups holds lens diameters from 1mm to 300 mm
without scartching. The vacuum cups are residual free to prevent
contaminating optical surfaces and are resistant to alcohol, acetone,
and MEK.
Applications
- Assembling and
disassembling multi-element systems
- Cleaning lenses for
inspection and coating
- Loading coating racks
and fixtures
- Blackening lens edges
