Laser Alignment & Assembly Station

laser alignment station product

Increase the precision and productivity of your optical assembly and inspection

The  Laser Alignment and Assembly Station from Opto-Alignment Technology is a compact, non-contact measurement and alignment stand alone instrument that will improve the quality of assembly and inspection of your precision and ultra-precision multi-element lens assemblies.

Precision Optical Alignment and Assembly Starts Here

  • Non-contact measurement and alignment with instant results
  • Dozens of applications including optical assembly, inspection of optical and mechanical runout, and more
  • Compact table-top design requires little space
  • 250 pound granite base with isolation feet for stable, repeatable measurements
  • Rigid vertical column with precise stepper motor-controlled focusing
  • Clean room compatible (enclosed vertical linear positioning rail, standard oil less venturi vacuum pump and a complete  absence of oil mist and heat)

Now available with the new CalcuLens™ software that is able to calibrate the instrument, find focal and confocal distances of up to 99 elements, store the data in a spreadsheet and make it available over your local network.  If the confocal distance is un-obtainable the software will advise of such condition.  This software is completely customizable on location as needed.

Packed with high performance features

The Laser Alignment Station is designed for fast setup and ease of use.  The visible diode laser beam measures tilts as small as 2 arc seconds by reflection from small radii of curvature of ±2 mm to infinity, and provides centration accuracy (linear) of less than 0.5 microns.  The compact optical sensing head moves easily on a rigid, vertical column, and handles virtually any size lens assembly up to 600 mm vertex-vertex.  The Laser Alignment Station is ideal for cementing spherical and cylindrical doublets and triplets with precision mounting of glass and crystal optical components or for potting subassemblies and assembling entire lenses.  Brass mounting chucks are available to accommodate lenses from 2mm to 160mm, and the system handles coated and uncoated lenses with equal ease.

Designed for the production environment

The Laser Alignment Station is built to live in your production facility or clean room and deliver increased productivity every day, all day.  Features include a rock-solid granite base, precise stepper motor optical head drive, high precision air bearing with integrated tip-tilt and X-Y adjustment and lens locking with vacuum or mechanical means.  Controls are easy to locate, simple to learn and use with results instantly visible on the 9 inch video monitor.  Clean room compatible with enclosed vertical linear positioning rail, standard oil less venturi vacuum pump and a complete absence of oil mist or heat.

Configurations

All systems include 9 inch TV monitor, 4, 6, 8, or 10 inch air bearing with centering and tip-tilt table, air pressure regulator, filter and gage, granite base plate with vibration isolation mounts, air-generated vacuum pump, air dyer unit, and Z-stage with optical module.

Popular options include: motorized air bearing, motorized Z-stage, optical encoder for Z-stage with digital display, angular encoder for air bearing, and vibration isolation stand.
